POSITION VACANCY 

HOME AND SCHOOL VISITOR

DISTRICT WIDE

 Effective at the start of the 2021-2022 School Year

Responsibilities:

• To provide on-site social work services to improve the social, emotional and academic functioning of students
• To serve as part of a team of professionals to resolve academic, attendance, or behavioral concerns
• To create a link between home and school environments by mobilizing and maintaining communication with community-based resources and services to meet the needs of students and their families
• To keep records of and to work with homeless students and families to ensure compliance with McKinney-Vento Act
• To perfom work during the summer on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Home & School Visitor Certification
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Prior experience preferred
